They're not bad for the price, they just seem a little flimsy, but if they hold up I agree. I replaced two worn originals with these in my G3 bass boat and the hole pattern matched perfectly. When folded and closed, they lock securely. I rode my boat in pretty rough water today and they easily held a standard can of soda and a bottle of water. The supplied screws are of poor quality, very soft metal, not aluminum but I doubt they are stainless steel. At first I gave them 3 stars but increased them to 5. They have held up well for 2 years. A rather large bass fell on one and broke the base. Can't fault the product for this, I bought another set now I have a spare!
