So the cup holders themselves seem strong enough for a cup of coffee, but the mounting screws are SHIT and CHEAP. Only fixing to the wall in my caravan broke the first 3 I tried to use. Cut immediately at the first sign of resistance. After the third breakdown I bought several different screws and they all worked perfectly.

I bought these to replace a similar cup holder on my boat. I was shocked to see how their "device" worked. It takes two hands to put the drink in the stand. One to hold the can/bottle and one to unfold the spring-loaded arms holding the drink in place. Apparently the people who designed them have never been on a boat. Try something different.

I needed a solution for a drinks seat next to the couch in our van and they looked like they would work. I liked the fact that they are attached with screws and not tape. (I had a bad experience with the ribbon in the version I bought). They work as intended. I just wish they were a little bigger. My coffee mug doesn't fit in at all and neither does the large drinking mug. You are limited to smaller sizes.

You get what you pay for. The plastic isn't of the highest quality, but it fits glasses, mugs, and a reasonably sized thermos. Minimal use I've tested so far, just be careful with the plastic arms surrounding the mug. That's the first thing that breaks when you try hard. Supplied with 1/2" screws for mounting. I mounted on carpeted plywood in a boat. Easy to install.

They're not bad for the price, they just seem a little flimsy, but if they hold up I agree. I replaced two worn originals with these in my G3 bass boat and the hole pattern matched perfectly. When folded and closed, they lock securely. I rode my boat in pretty rough water today and they easily held a standard can of soda and a bottle of water.
