Review on Scosche SAHR6 2006 Up Ridgeline Speaker by Hector Smith

I bought these years ago to replace the front speakers in my 2006 Ridgeline. I don't recall any major installation issues, so I bought another set to finally replace the rear speakers. The internal mounting tabs are easily removed to attach the speaker, but I had to cut off some of the external mounting tabs that are meant to be screwed to the door. The door panel is molded so that it will not sit flush unless at least one of the top tabs has been removed and the bottom center lip removed. Another issue is that the timing of the speaker mounting holes causes the speaker to rotate about 45° when mounted. Judging by the shape of the cutout in the door, the electrical connections run very close to the metal panel of the door. I had to bend the connectors up and away from their standard position and then tape them to the door panel to make sure the speakers don't short out. It's not what I would call a perfect fit, but it works well.
