They are advertised as a 73% Merino blend but that is NEVER true. I have many brands and styles of merino wool socks and there is no doubt about that - mostly polyester and/or acrylic. That's obvious even before you put them on - they're smooth and shiny, but once you've put them on they become slippery and completely uncomfortable. Also, I noticed a sticker on the packaging covering the Woolmark brand's wool blend - it appears this Chinese manufacturer tried to pass it off as real wool but may have been arrested for false advertising. See photos. If you're looking for authentic, warm and cozy navy wool socks at a reasonable price, look no further than the higher quality brands that are made in the USA.
