This laptop solved all the problems I had before and replaced my traditional laptop with my 15 inch Macbook Pro Retina. It blocks heat, although it does. Grip (both with my feet and my laptop) is essential when sitting on a couch or chair. This was the main problem I had with my old laptop - the Macbook's feet didn't really stick to smooth surfaces. This is the third Grifiti product I've owned (along with a thin full length bezel and small mouse/trackpad extender) and I have NOT been given a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
