This small external video adapter has made my desk work more comfortable. I'm using an older 2015 MacBook Pro and this device works great with USB 3.0 ports. My only issue with this device is that when I rotate my external displays to portrait (vertical) mode, there is a lag in response time for one or both of my screens, where it's incredibly noticeable. I contacted their support team by creating a ticket and their reps were polite and responded in a timely manner. However, after troubleshooting both ends, we have determined that this is the current error and they currently have no solution (3-3-18). They were able to reproduce this issue on their side. So if you're looking for a video adapter to easily connect 2 monitors in landscape mode, you've come to the right place. However, if you want to rotate your monitors in portrait mode (to read articles or lines of code), your experience won't be the most comfortable. Still recommend. UPDATE 8/26/18: I no longer need this device. For macOS, the previous update (10.13.4 I think) messed up the functionality that prevented you from using monitors via a USB cable. This has even influenced other related software like Duet Display, which lets you use your iPad as a secondary monitor via a lighting cable. If you are a Mac user, I strongly recommend staying away from this product. This doesn't mean anything against StarTech as I see it as Apple's fault IMO. If you are using a Windows or Linux based system I think you are good.
