Review on High Performance Ring & Pinion Gear Set (YG F8-355) for Ford 8 Differential by Yukon Gear & Axle by Gerardo Goodson

I've been waiting for the fitment for almost a year so I don't have a reasonable return period, but I'm still unhappy that I got a pre-installed gear for my truck. After paying that price I expected more. As you can see in the picture the packaging was destroyed by the fall and the bearing was installed on the gear and paint was applied to mark the gear. I don't think the gears were actually twisted. , but that doesn't change the fact that a used transmission was sold to me as new. I had already disassembled the truck when I discovered this and the gears appeared to be in good condition so I proceeded with the installation. . The quality seems good and they are nice and quiet. They only have 150 miles under their belt so time will tell. I give 5 stars for the quality, 1 star for the way they are used. As a note to buyers of this product, you NEED a knurled cross pin to install this kit. Neither the listing nor the Yukon website will tell you that. The sprocket is too tall to fit the cross pin, so install the knurled pin BEFORE installing the sprocket.
