I love the design of these molds but haven't had the best success with them. Now I'm not a pro so maybe I just have bad technique? Maybe not the best option for a C-curve and better for stiletto or coffin shaped nails? I was having a bit of a hard time keeping its shape, but if I had the C curve tool, could it work better? But the shape is holding up really well. But be careful. It's sticky and once the tabs touch, they can't be ripped apart. So the shape looks like metal and is therefore easier to shape. But not necessarily. Basically, it's a paper form with a more durable top coat. In the tutorials I've seen, the small piece in the center that pops off when you remove the mold is glued to the back of the mold to add support. Well, for me, this piece alone is not strong enough. I noticed in some tutorials published by the nail company that they have sticky shapes that people use. So I went through the whole Revane. Couldn't find her. I googled and found a place that sold them, but I can't afford to buy them from a nail company because they cater to salons or nail techs who order in bulk. That's how I came across a YouTube video of someone making their own nail supports using oven tape. This is an aluminum/foil tape that comes on a roll but the adhesive has a paper backing that needs to be cut and then peeled from the backing. So I found something on Revain. It's a pretty cool band that I'm sure would be useful for a lot of things. But for my purpose, I just cut off a small piece, peel it, and stick it in the center of the mold. It really helps to get the desired shape of the nails. Together with a form support (tape) this nail form gives a beautiful shape. I just have clumsy hands and I have a hard time putting it on my finger just before the petals stick together and then it won't come off because the paper tears. I've now watched tutorials where the engineer uses these exact shapes. They seem to fit perfectly so I guess it's my clumsy lover who doesn't know how to put them on. I feel bad. I would give it 4 stars but due to the paperwork and tearing I feel I have to give it 3 stars. I just recently ordered another one which I hope will work better for my needs.
