Lightweight, sturdy boxes are great for organizing and storing glassware

"Wine" and "Coffee Cup" boxes. I have not bought a single box intended for storing dishes. I'm a big collector of vintage cocktail glasses and use crates to store them. I literally have 15 of these boxes on the shelves in my basement filled with all kinds of glasses: Rox/vintage glasses, tall glasses/Collins, coupe glasses and even tiki glasses! You can use them to store glasses of all shapes and sizes. Here are the pros and cons of these boxes (again, when used for GLASSWARE). Pros: - Very light - Can be stacked (see photo) - Sturdy enough to store away - A clear plastic window on one side lets you see the contents of the box - Good carrying handles Cons: - Not quite "heavy" - No padding in the compartments (see my photos showing the inside of the glasses box inside) - Only the window allows you to see the glasses from one side of the box; You have to lift the lid to see the others (this is only an issue if, like me, you keep several different types of jars in the same box). that they are not put in. If you need something to organize glassware that you don't use for shelving, this is your answer. However, I would NOT use them for moving glassware, let alone transporting it! 2) If you use them to hold thin (e.g. narrow) glasses like champagne flutes, the glasses will have some "play" inside. Subjects. You can wrap something around them to keep them from moving too much and banging against the walls of their compartments, which can cause them to break. Here's a tip: if you're storing fragile glassware in it, buy some Styrofoam glass storage. Sleeves from U-Haul or another shipping company. First place each jar in a foam sleeve and then in one of these boxes. Foam inserts cushion the glasses and prevent them from moving. (Check out my recent photo of glasses wrapped in foam cases.) I hope you find these tips helpful!
