Update 3 months later: We used it for 3 long hikes and the saddle zip started tearing at the seams. Not very durable. I ordered a large for my 100 lb retriever so he can help carry supplies on our long hikes. Each saddle had 4 water bottles, so it had 8 in total, which is very convenient. The only criticism is that the saddle does not detach from the suspension. When we stopped for lunch I had to take the leash off completely so he could rest. It's not a deal breaker, but I had to bring a collar to keep him on a leash during lunch.
