Bought these for my mum for Christmas, she always has small items on the table by her chair and it helps organize things and gives her another level with area to put things. It's a very good size and has a pad on the bottom to keep it in place. I think it would also be great for a dresser, male or female. I see men using it for loose change and other items in their pockets when they empty them, or to organize some sort of jewelry. Or for everyday women's jewelry or items that she keeps on a dresser within easy reach. I am very satisfied with the quality, appearance and size. That's a great gift.
