I bought these to attach needles to an Ita backpack instead of the rubber pads that are currently used for most enamel needles. And they work great for that! They easily attach to pens and keep them in place on all types of ita bag liners. However! As my collection grew and I shuffled the needles between bags, I noticed that butterfly wings tend to loosen after two or three uses. It has little effect on the pocket where my needles are behind the insert and the back just falls into the pocket of the bag but if you're buying them to use on a jacket or something where you can move the needles around a lot or they can fall off more easily, I would NOT recommend this. Lockable backrests are the best choice. But for my use I am satisfied enough and plan to purchase more sets for my growing pin collection.
