The description on the packaging says it removes impurities and pus, moisturizes the skin to prevent scarring and protects against germs and infection. Therefore, you should apply it on clean skin and remove it after 4-8 hours. There are two different sizes which I love. So I left mine on overnight. The pimple itself wasn't huge, but it was definitely noticeable last night before I put the patch on. I woke up this morning and saw a slick area I taped, so it's definitely working. In addition, the patch lasts all night. I forgot I put on moisturizer before applying the patch and it hasn't fallen off, although I was probably rubbing my pillow in my sleep. Also, the patch itself is transparent and you can't even see it while it's applied. So if you need it as an emergency solution, it will keep your secret and still get the job done. :)
