Never used best in brushes

I liked the idea of this tool for removing weeds from between my brick paving. When the item arrived I was unable to remove the plastic protection around the blade. I pulled, tried to cut it with scissors, tried prying it off with a screwdriver, and was about to try a carpet cutter, but thought I'd end up in the ER trying to use the blade to remove the guard from the other blade, hence I had to return the item. I don't know who and how put on this protective cover, but it didn't move. Too bad, because I need such a tool
