Useless! on Horns & Sirens

When I received this I told my family to get ready as I was about to blow it up. They laughed when I did. My kids want to find a device that will actually set off an alarm and deter a burglar, kidnapper or intruder. THAT'S NOT THAT.

Not 130 dB as advertised.

Good idea, but doesn't achieve 130 dB. At a distance of 12 feet, the sound level was 81 dB. At 6 feet away, the sound level was 86 dBA. At 1 foot away the sound level was 98dB98, a loud but unadvertised 130dB. Therefore, to use it, you must place an alarm on the attackers' ears!

Excellent purchase! suitable for horns and sirens

I bought 2, one for myself and one for our adult daughter. We go out into the wild and feel better knowing we can scare away wildlife. 2 people in our community have been bitten by a rabid fox and sometimes the coyotes get pretty close. Also, just feel safe driving through parking lots etc.

It does not work! for security and surveillance

Bought for my daughter, the second is on the way for my wife. It does not work. Pulled and pulled the pin several times, but nothing happened. I'm glad we tested it before using it in a situation where she needed it! Very disappointed. Hoping the other one works so we don't have to send both back. I would put 0 stars but the system doesn't allow it.

So someone is in imminent danger. You pull the siren out of the pen. Now you have to make sure you can keep him? Can an attacker pick it up and throw it or smash it into concrete? Accidentally dropped it while holding onto a bag or valuables on the run? It would be nice if the case had a wire attached to the pin so it could be detached and detached. I am wrong?

Not worth the money, find something else to protect yourself.

Should have read some of the other reviews more carefully. I got mine today, I pulled the needle out to test it and my dog barely lifted his head and he was right next to me and his hearing is so much better than mine, in other words the noise level of the Siren is a joke. Also, the product description in this listing states that it uses an LR44 battery, but the instructions that came with the device indicate that it uses two CR2032 batteries.
