Should have read some of the other reviews more carefully. I got mine today, I pulled the needle out to test it and my dog barely lifted his head and he was right next to me and his hearing is so much better than mine, in other words the noise level of the Siren is a joke. Also, the product description in this listing states that it uses an LR44 battery, but the instructions that came with the device indicate that it uses two CR2032 batteries. The photos are also misleading, they show a tool to open the battery changer, but mine came without that tool, no wonder some reviewers complained that it was very difficult to change the batteries. I don't think this self defense siren will put anyone off or warn you that you need help, find something else to protect yourself and your loved ones. This "self-defense siren" doesn't cost any money, not to mention your safety when you need help.
