Review on Xantrex Freedom 817 1050 Power Inverter by Chad Mills

I basically have a UPS setup to control some computers/satellite devices that run between 100 and 300 watts and sit at room temperature in my living room. open ventilation. The battery is fully charged and the unit is running on shore power, so the fan turns on for 2 minutes approximately every 30 minutes. The fan is quite loud. too loud for home use. I have contacted tech support multiple times. At this point I wouldn't recommend this for home use or anywhere else where you might hear the fan. Maybe I have the wrong application for the device. If you're using it in a basement or storage room, I highly recommend using the remote to set it up. However, Bluetooth needs to be configured every time you want to start it.
