This device is pretty good. I use a year for my son. My only problem is the battery life. When switched off, it lasts about 3-4 hours. What if you just need to do a few quick chores around the house while the baby sleeps, that's fine, but you need to keep it connected to the network at all times. Mine only beeps when the battery is low. We live in a mother-daughter house and the monitor is installed in the basement and has no problems either indoors or outdoors. It's pretty easy to use. After about a month the timers aren't really needed anymore, but it was really nice to have them. The main advantage for me was the built-in thermometer.
