Excellent mirrors. - External Accessories

I installed them on my 1999 F250. My truck has a round 4 pin connector. These mirrors have a rectangular connector that has several other pins to operate the turn signals, position lights and heated mirrors. But the manufacturer put an adapter in the box to convert my 4 pin connector to a right angle. My truck didn't have heated mirrors or turn signals, but getting them to work isn't hard. All you need is a test lamp (and the ability to use it). Turn signals can be found in the steering column wiring harness or near the headlights. Note: Be careful when you feel the cables in the steering column. If you can feel the airbag wires (usually the thickest wires, usually orange or yellow), you can deploy your airbags. for and where to find them. The parking lights are located in the dashboard just behind the headlight switch. Also next to the headlights in front. Most heated mirrors are connected to a defrost switch and will turn on automatically when the defrost button is pressed. My truck didn't have a de-icer either. So you can add a simple switch (available at most parts stores) that will also turn on the heated mirrors. All you need is 12V to the appropriate cable. And it's also easy to figure out which wire on the mirror connector is for which function. I'm not sure why the seller is so lazy that they haven't published a pinout or at least included a piece of paper showing what each wire should do, but again google is here to help. I found one online in less than a minute. You can also! If you don't care about heat or blinkers, the adapter will have you up and running in minutes. And one more point. Many reviewers report that there is a small gap after installing the mirror. If so, they just didn't tighten the nuts tight enough. The screws protruding from the new mirror are slightly longer than the factory ones. It's easy to move the mirror slightly if it feels tight, but all it takes is a light push or more tightening and they'll keep tightening. Once fully tightened, the fit is perfect. These mirrors fold back and forth. They also have a much larger fisheye mirror on the underside than the older factory models. And the top mirror also seems to be a bit bigger as it isn't curved as much as the old ones. Definitely recommend. You'll be glad you have them and your truck will look even newer!
