I bought two matte black fans, one for the bedroom and one for the office. If you're looking for a minimalist, unlit, bottom-stalk fan with reversible blades and good easy tension control, I recommend it. The fans look good and run smooth and quiet. They move a lot of air, more so than the 20-year-old five-blade hunters they replaced. I keep them on the lowest of the three settings. The thrust at higher speeds is too much for 8ft ceilings. They were well packed in surprisingly small boxes. Spare washers and screws were included, which is always nice. Installation was easy enough to do alone. It took me an hour for each one, and I'm the type to make simple things difficult. The Fanimation Spitfire I recently installed in my living room was easier to build but much more difficult to install in my environment due to the additional space required for the remote transceiver. Also 7 times more expensive.
