I had a strong desire for a waffle iron, and the primary requirements I had were that it be cheap, portable, and easy to use. This waffle iron performed its function admirably. The best aspect is that it bakes and heats up in a short amount of time (3-5 minutes per batch with 2 waffles). The only thing is that I would have preferred the squares to be deeper, but that's just a matter of personal preference, and I don't think of it as a drawback. It is simple to use, has a pleasant surface, cannot be lubricated with additional oil (which is a significant selling point for me), and requires no effort to maintain.
