Deeply frustrating software

I agree 100% with William Roberts the software for this product is rubbish. If you're just scanning a few pages, that's no big deal, if you're going to scan and edit a whole 300-page book, you're in for a horrible time. I originally bought this thinking it would be quick and easy to copy my books, but holy shit. I managed to write a book of about 300 pages just by writing about 100 pages at a time. I wasn't able to write 300 pages at once, although that could be frustrating. You'll probably have to pay me to do another book. This is a difficult task. If you just had to scan the book that would be great, but then you have to edit it because the software is so bad. Out of 300 pages, only about 5 looked good. All other pages had to be edited. And everything William said is correct, you can't save your work and shut down your computer. I learned this the hard way. If you're editing a 300-page book, you'd better make sure your computer doesn't shut down and update, and it's best not to run out of battery and shut down, otherwise all your work will be lost and you'll have to scan and edit the entire book again. So the 6 hours you just spent scanning and editing are a thing of the past. Now you have to spend the whole day at work again. For someone who works 8-10 hour days and then comes home to try to digitize a book is a process that takes so long and is so tedious that it ends up being useless, deeply excruciating, and one wonders why we live. . . I later learned that there are additional programs that can be added, one of which has a save option that allows you to edit the scanned pages: BUT WAIT! While there is a page setup image, just like the original software, this is a lie. You can't customize the page, you can only remove things like fingers and other imperfections, but if the page isn't what you want, you can't fix it. So you spent about 3 hours scanning the book thinking you could save it and work on it later, but it was all for naught LMAO. The software creator is not a sociopath, he is the devil himself. I will give him 1 star until the makers of this expensive machine come up with competent software.
