Review on Filtrete Capacity Pleated Sediment 3WH HDPL F01 by Diane Haney

Actual 50 microns. Yes the photos show a 50 micron filter but the description says otherwise. I was hoping it would be 25 microns versus 50. Just wanted to make it clear for anyone looking at this list. I plan to use this with the WhirlPool Whole House filtration system for more performance. By the way, I also like pleated ones because they are easier to pull out of the cartridge holder on the filter system. otherwise I need pliers mainly as a tool set because of deposits with other types of cartridges. Pleated blinds make my life a lot easier. :) I'm on a shallow well. When I ordered this filter I also ordered a Culligan whole house filter. They're both made in China, but the Culligan has thicker pleats and this one doesn't feel as thick. So I feel more compelled to buy a Culligan than this one. However, the packaging says 50 microns. As the Culligan seems to be thicker I think this makes it safer to work with. I can't comment on the performance yet as I haven't used it yet. I change my filters on the 1st of every month. Also, the picture above doesn't show a hole, but it is. just for your information. Because I bought this out of blind faith hoping it was, although it is not visible in the picture. strange. I gave it 4 stars due to the thinness of the folds and the misdescription of 25 microns. First of all it works, because the description is not the fault of the products, but only of the seller. I will update this review once I use it.
