🔥 UL Listed Photoelectric Smoke Detectors – 2 Pack Fire Alarms, 9V Battery Operated (10 Year Life Time) Review

We bought two sets of smoke detectors for our rental. The alarms arrived quickly and were very easy to install. We tested them and they all worked well.

Not very sensitive. Not sensitive enough to be used for real smoke detectors. Basically it's pointless. In my video you can see me holding it directly over the smoke for a few seconds, but it's not until I start burning the detector itself that it actually ignites. It's too late then.

Had to install smoke detectors in each room (4) and one smoke/carbon monoxide detector in hallway to have permit signed after installation of new heating/air conditioning and upgraded/replaced air ducts and inflated attic insulation as part of energy saving program. Bought 4 pieces, everything works, installation was easy.

These smoke detectors are very small and don't show up on our ceilings like an eyesore. Best of all, there were TWO of them, and at a very good price. Complete with 9 volt batteries, they were easy to install and now I feel more confident. I just hope we never need them if you know what I mean, but I'm so glad they're looking after us for the next 10 years. Great little product! I'm glad I bought them!

Always doubted their quality and efficiency when buying smoke detectors but not at all disappointed with these wonderful efficient neat compact detectors they are excellent and I recommend them to everyone. They have proven to be very effective replacements for my "old ones" and I am very happy with them. They arrived very quickly and well packaged so excellent customer service.

They are a lot smaller than the ones I had before. I like that they are. I like the blinking red circle to let me know the device is working. Slightly rewards the battery to release the lever that allows the block to close. Once you understand that the battery must be present in order for the device to rotate into position and be securely fastened, you're all set. Great price for two packs. First both supplied 9 volt batteries were empty. Double checked with a multimeter. So I replaced them with my fresh batteries. I checked the date and thought it was an old device. No, manufactured in April 2020.2, after you fix the base to the ceiling, you need to screw the detector to the base. Can't turn at all. 3rd, 1 of 2 detectors failed. Cute with a convenient place to put the batteries. They have a smaller footprint than my previous smoke alarms and require new holes in the wall or hanging with a single screw. The problem is that the batteries in all 4 devices I bought died after 6-9 months. It is falsely advertised as 10 year old batteries. I immediately tested these detectors with a professional smoke detector tester spray and they both performed extremely well. Never rely on the test button to assume the detector is working! This only tests the alarm circuit, not the smoke detection ability. Buy a spray. Your life may depend on it! They are surprisingly compact - much smaller than the detectors of a few years ago.
