Had to install smoke detectors in each room (4) and one smoke/carbon monoxide detector in hallway to have permit signed after installation of new heating/air conditioning and upgraded/replaced air ducts and inflated attic insulation as part of energy saving program. Bought 4 pieces, everything works, installation was easy.
