Great Blu-ray Player

This is a great little Blu-ray player. I didn't know it was a streaming player at the time. I only got it because I have a 58" Samsung Plasma and have always had good luck with Samsung devices. This player works well with Samsung TV. The interface is familiar if you have a Samsung display and if you turn on the player it turns on your tv and switches to that hdmi source for you Netflix streaming is great I'm used to watching Netflix streaming on xbox or pc this is handy as you can see the picture like this You can stretch it so it fills the entire screen. If you're streaming from an Xbox or PC in 4:3 you can't stretch the picture.Of course I could probably do that with a TV, but changing this is a hassle. So that's not the only reason I like to stretch the picture, but it's part of it. If I could get a full 58" picture, I would. Not to mention that most content is 4:3 that I see are cartoons (Family Guy , Futurama, etc.) so that the image is not distorted too much. And if there is? This is a cartoon. never mind This player does not support wireless communication, but of course that is not the player's fault. Just pointing this out to readers who are considering this device. Mine sits next to my PC/router so it wasn't hard to hook up a Cat5e cable to it and I was in business. It's important to note that if you're not streaming with this player, you don't need to plug it in every time you want to play Blu-ray. You only need to plug it in if you miss the latest updates. and this is only for the first time. The Blu-Ray quality of this player will meet your expectations. breathtaking. I have HDMI from the player to my plasma, then optical audio from the TV to my 750w 5.1 system. Officially, there is no longer any reason to go to the cinema. The only thing I noticed about this player is that it sometimes takes up to a minute after you insert a disc before Blu-Ray starts playing (or gets into the menu anyway). For some reason the disc won't load. Maybe the player is trying to connect to the Internet, and lately I haven't connected it because there are few network cables at home. But that's really my only complaint. Either way, it's half a complaint. In general I am very happy with this player. Will definitely buy again and recommend to a friend.
