To be honest I've always used a windshield or a slightly damp paper towel to clean the dashboard and interior of my cars over the years. I'm not a mechanic and have never bothered to spend tons of money on 'special' products to clean my car. I wash, vacuum and drive. That all changed a few months ago when I bought an S4 and realized I really like it when it's clean and doesn't look like any other car I've owned. During my research I came across Matt's YouTube channel and then his website obsessedgarage.com where he has a very unbiased honest review of the products he uses to clean his cars. Cockpit was his interior design suggestion and I honestly couldn't be happier that I bought it. I used a clean/new microfiber cloth and applied the cockpit directly to it and it was a little rough wiping things down. I think another towel fabric might be better? But wow, not only did it remove the light dust that was on top, it also removed dirt and grime that I had no idea existed in the two months I've owned the car. The dashboard, door and center console are made of different materials, the cockpit has all been cleaned very well and given a super matte/new automotive look. I've raced on super shiny tires and shiny Armor All panels in the past, I just want an upscale, professional look and the cockpit delivers that.
