I upgraded from 6700k to now 10700k while changing the turret body. After all the trouble installing new hardware, I flipped the switch and it didn't work. but the red CPU light on the motherboard was also on. So I swapped the CPU cables, swapped the RAM and tried again with no success. I then took out the processor to make sure it was set up properly (which I did) and put it back in to no avail. Then I had to take everything out and take a good look at the pins and what do you know, curved pins. Hopefully it didn't damage the chip. To be honest it can happen and I've used gigabytes in the past and been very happy so I ordered a spare and will update this post once everything is reinstalled. UPDATE: So I got the new board and it works great. It looks like the processor wasn't damaged, only the contacts on the first board were damaged. Now it's ok for some overclocking!
