Great backpack for rainy Alaska. I bought this pack for work to tackle my field projects. It's big enough for my lunch, camera gear, binoculars, and extra clothes. The best is the front pocket and water bottle pocket; So you can stow small items and don't have to rummage around in the main compartment when it rains. The only downside is that the straps slip off and don't tighten. This may be because the material is new. The package is also larger than I thought I would go down a size if I were to buy again. But the larger size allows me to use it for light night hikes.
