Socks are comfortable when hiking in cool weather. Fits as expected and the socks appear to be well made. Let's see how it holds up with wear and wash. I recently used this in Yellowstone National Park in 36 degrees Fahrenheit and it kept my feet warm. My feet weren't too hot when I walked all day. However, this depends on how your body reacts and the shoes you use. I haven't tried them in warmer climates so I can't comment on that. I will update my review with this information soon. UPDATE I have used these socks while hiking in high temperatures (90-100 F) with hiking boots and my feet did not overheat or even sweat. My feet felt comfortable and had no discomfort. In my experience, these CNA socks can be used year-round. But as I mentioned before, this depends on your own physiology and the shoes you use.
