I'm neurotic when it comes to building PCs. No, seriously neurotic. I work on a wooden floor with my wristband attached to a power supply plugged into a surge protector that's plugged into the wall but turned off to keep current out. Because, I mean, wouldn't it be hilarious if I fried myself on a cheap power supply while trying not to shock my computer? Step on this anti-static mat. Don't get me wrong, I'm still pinching the power supply, but now I'm pinching the mat too. The coiled alligator clip extends about 4 feet before it starts dragging the mat with it, meaning your floor doesn't have to be right next to you. This frees up table space if you're not crazy like me about clipping in your wrist as well. It's soft enough for the case and components to sink in and not slide around, and it rolls up into a surprisingly small package. I've been using it about once a week since I bought it, and the only possibility you might spot is the slight smear when I had a disagreement with a tube of thermal paste that was sitting on it. It is very easy to clean and keep clean. My only issue with the mat is that it doesn't roll out perfectly flat, but settles down when weight is placed on it. There are many flashier mats out there. There are $60 mats with charts for different motherboard sizes and all that fun stuff, but at the end of the day, do you really need a motherboard size grid on your 24"x27.5" anti-static mat? You could, and there are certainly situations where even I could have saved a few seconds instead of reaching for a tape measure, but most hobbyists don't really need that. I'd rather spend my money on the components than the mat I'm building them on. It does what I expect and it's cheap. No complaints.
