I bought these boots from a local pet store near me a few years ago during a bad winter to protect my dog's paws from the icy and salty sidewalks he had difficulty with far to go conditions. These boots fit him perfectly and he was able to walk much better and longer once he started wearing them. I have a small Bichon Frize (about 11 pounds) and order XXX small. They fit perfectly. I love that they have velcro that wraps around the ankle so they are easy to adjust to fit your dog's feet. It took him a while to get used to it, so I made him wear it around the house and he soon got on well with it outside. He's been wearing them for several years now and most of the time he doesn't even seem to notice them. They're not very thick, but they do a great job on loose snow, ice, and salt. They get wet and waterlogged if worn in rain or sleet; however, they dry well. It's very soft inside. When I was having trouble finding them at local pet stores as they are limited in any size and run out quickly in the winter, I looked up and found Revain. Revain has a very good price. I recommend this product.
