Works well with a little fiddling

I ordered these bulbs to replace the bulb in my 40 year old Craftsman router. When I tried to install one of the new ones I couldn't put it in the lamp socket. I found that the flare at the top of the metal base is slightly wider than the original GE lamp, making it impossible to fit fully into the lamp socket. By scraping some plastic off the inside edge of the lamp socket I was able to put the bulb in and it works great. Now I have to decide what to do with the other nine lightbulbs. It was a good deal for the price.
