I bought them to raise the LCD panel. Luckily, I tried them out on an already broken screen to make sure they're safe to use. They are too powerful to be used safely and permanently on screen. You can try adjusting the suction by partially closing the handle, placing it on the TV, and then closing it fully, but that's unreliable. I highly recommend buying another set of suction cups. I think there's 110 pounds of power behind them. Nonetheless. They didn't work for my purpose, but these things work great for other purposes. The suction is very strong and they can hold the tightness all day long. I would be very comfortable using them to move something like a glass table top. I've used them to add handles to (heavy) furniture while it's moving. Just avoid using them on TV.
