Review on πŸ’° Moonjar Moneybox: Classic Spend and Share by Shree Carmean

Serves its purpose and teaches good lessons

My son is 7 years old and we have started paying him a small salary for various household chores from washing cars to folding clothes. This equates to about $7 a week. We wanted to find a good way for him to learn the difference between spending, giving, and saving, and Moonjar seemed like a good solution for him. The jar itself is metal with plastic lids, all held together with a rubber band. It's not the best design, but it does the job. We particularly liked the little register that comes with it so it can keep track of what's going in and out of its glass. This gives him a chance to practice his math, take good notes and develop good saving/charity habits for later years. We keep him on the roof of our cage because I don't think it's our first year's long arm and we just drop him off on payday or when he wants some money for expenses. I can imagine how it will break or lose the covers/individual sections. Overall, I think the idea is great, but I would have liked a better design.
