The product did not disappoint, the quality pleases.

Motherboard ASUS B450M TUF PRO Gaming memory 16 GB 3200CL16. Made OFFSET on processor voltage -0.075 v. Scythe Kotetsu Mark II (SCKTT-2022) cooler - should be efficient for systems up to 150W. The case is small and cramped, coupled with the GTX 1080 TI. While testing further and deciding whether to change to 3600 or 3600X - but judging by a number of reviews, they are also "explosive" and can briefly go beyond 60 degrees C in temperature. I fell for TDP 65W. But now AMD themselves say that this is not quite "that". In everyday tasks, a more typical power consumption of 70-75W under multi-threaded load exceeds 85-90W.

Pros
  • The increased performance of the R7 3700X is present, but I did not feel any noticeable acceleration relative to the R5 2600 in everyday use. The performance of the multi-threaded load during video conversion pleased, but it's understandable - both the greater number of cores and the performance are higher. I took it for 23300r - not a very big difference with the R5 3600X, but relative to the R5 3600 the difference is very big. Why do I believe that 3600 is a new "top"!
Cons
  • 1) Despite a thermal package of 65W for "atypical" tasks like video transcoding with all cores or Cinebench rendering, the real power goes beyond 90W and the CPU heats up wildly to 76-78C degrees, while the frequency drops to 3.9-4 GHz. In workloads, the temperature easily exceeds 60C, which has to be compensated by coolers - and this is extra noise. 2) A hot "explosive" stone - it heats up quickly and then lowers the frequencies, which causes the fans to spin up at any short-term load, so at first I tried to solve it by setting the PWM fan profile. Then, on the advice of the gamersnexus portal, an OFFSET was made for the processor voltage -0.075 v. This allowed, without removing overclocking to 4.4, to work stably at temperatures up to 60C in games and work tasks. Or set the BIOS to 4.1 GHz with a voltage of 12022 v - but then stress tests do not pass and video conversion, you need to reduce the multiplier to 4.0 GHz or 3.9 GHz for these tasks, increasing the voltage leads to heating for 75C. 3) I took the OEM version. From the store, the legs were jammed at the edge in a blister - he came the next day, apparently the store specialists corrected the handles. Look carefully at the rows upon receipt, bent legs are easy to break off when editing on your own - then you will not return such a stone to the store!
