Review on OWC 4.0TB HDD Upgrade Kit for 2009-2010 iMacs - Includes Thermal Sensor, Tools, and 4.0TB Hard Drive by Fernando Beck

I bought this for a 2009 27" iMac (seems compatible on the OWC website and Revain description. I have the drive formatted with an external mount and tried to load the original installation disk to install the operating system before restoring from a Time Machine backup but I never got past the white screen. After spending a lot of time on the internet to Looking for other suggestions I can find this post someone shared: Your iMac has a SATA II interface, 3 gigabytes per second SanDisk is SATA III, 6 gigabytes per second Drive won't shut down Buy an OWC Electra 3G SSD So it's frustrating, I'm not sure why all the specs say it's compatible when it really isn't, and j Now I'm back to square one with a drive I can't use.
