Review on Toyo Observe G3-Ice 285/60 R18 120T winter by Adam EK ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An ideal product for any type of consumer.

In the first three hundred to five hundred kilometers, there were rolling issues, there was an increase in noise (albeit it was still quieter than the primary competition, the Nordman4), and it slid at the beginning. After going through this period, the tires broke in, became substantially quieter (I observe noise in the region of 50-60 km/h, then it gets quiet), and became more predictable. In the past, getting off the track was difficult; however, I am now able to navigate the ice that is located between the lanes without any difficulty. Only fell one time; got stuck in deep, new snow but managed to free themselves within a couple of minutes. After traveling at a high rate of speed for 1,500 kilometers, the spikes are still in place, and just a couple of the cores have broken off (the spikes are, in a sense, two-component; a hard rod is pushed with softer metal). It was a choice between this and Nordman4, both of which cost the same, and I can safely say that I picked the better option. The same car that I drove in for the last one is even more stiff and noisy than before. But the thing that surprised me the most was when I was driving the second car with 4vd and fresh Cordiant (Sh) and took the turn at a low speed along the normal path. I was dragged to the side of the road. Excellent holding for someone who is used to Toyo.

Pros
  • Great pricing! Rubber that is quiet and comfortable, with reinforced sidewalls. Outstanding paddling and stopping ability on all terrains. Maintains control during turns and does not wander.
Cons
  • Because it was spiked in 2022, some of the spikes were crooked, and there were a handful of parts that were completely missing. You need to be cautious for the first 500 kilometers.
