6 months ago I upgraded from Pixel 2 (a few years later) to Pixel 4 which was amazing at the time. The Pixel 4 XL has an amazing screen, good features, a supposedly better battery than previous versions, and supposedly the best camera you can get on a phone. All of this was true for the first few months. Eventually an update came out, and some of those features quickly took off. First the battery life has dropped a lot and now after 3 years of use it's maybe worse than my Pixel 2. Second the camera doesn't focus well anymore and often gets stuck on focus - I believe it's a software issue in the camera app , but Google doesn't seem to recognize them. This affects other applications that rely on camera functionality. The video stabilization is now completely unusable - so I can't record videos with any software stabilization.
