As an assistant professor at a university, I am constantly exposed to bright neon lights. A lot of my migraines are caused by weather changes, so now (spring semester, March-April) it's especially gross. My idea of "hell on earth" is to teach a migraine class. I carry these glasses with me in my work bag and wear them to work several times a week. They make it less painful to be under the light. If I feel a headache coming, I can put it on and hold it back a little. If I have migraines and I'm teaching a class, I put my glasses on and I can attend the class. I'm fortunate to have understanding students who are used to glasses and know that I'm more likely to get migraines if I wear them. Even if they are a bit expensive, they are worth the investment and you should consider that when choosing a migraine rescue kit :)
