I wanted to install an electric under cabinet light so I wouldn't have to mess with changing batteries. The fluorescent tube can be easily replaced if it breaks, but is otherwise well protected. The light is not as harsh as LEDs which I prefer for indoor lighting. He went into the kitchen and took care of the dark corner above the appliances. The device is thin enough to be invisible once installed. It has no remote control and cannot simply daisy chain multiple devices. But if you just need an under cabinet lamp or two and don't want to spend money on features you probably won't use, this might be for you. RECOMMENDED
