Review on 🌬️ Crane Air Purifier: True HEPA Filter, Germicidal UV Light, 300 Sq Ft Coverage by Todd Stovall

I had this device about a month. At first it worked fine. But then he died for no apparent reason. I would plug it in, but nothing would happen. None of the lights came on, none of the setup or power buttons responded, nothing. I contacted Crane using the contact form on their website. A few days later I received word from them. They said that since the item is under warranty they will send me a new unit as soon as I send them proof of purchase. But before I did that I was able to fix the problem. The problem is related to the filter lock switch. I removed the bottom filter cap and filter, replaced both and made sure the filter cap was secure. Now the device works perfectly. I also gave Crane a couple of user manual suggestions. The only mention of a locking switch and proper positioning of the bottom filter cover to ensure the bottom tab fits in the groove is in a very unclear place in the manual (page 9 in the troubleshooting section). . As the unit will not function unless the interlock switch is activated, which in turn requires proper installation and securing of the filter and filter cover, I have advised Crane to mention this much more clearly in the manual e.g. B. on pages 6 and 7 in operation and use, replacing the HEPA filter and replacing the UV lamp. be removed. I suspect that if someone simply plugs it in and turns it on without first opening the bottom filter cover, removing the filters and plastic protector, and then replacing the filters and cover, the unit could be damaged. This should also be stated in the manual. I suggested Crane put this on page 5 in the Before Use section and possibly somewhere on page 2-3 in the Safety Information section. I am waiting to hear from you to see if you will accept my suggestions. I let them know until I heard from them.
