I like my new shoes. I was afraid I would have to send them back as the toe of the left shoe was a little tight. Strange that one shoe is too tight, but thin socks helped. I have an orthopedic insole for my left foot to compensate for a postoperative hip fracture. I like the Asics brand best. They feel a lot better after wearing them for a few days. Now they are perfect, not to mention their beauty. I was able to purchase them for $26 plus shipping, so less than $35 total. They are also neutral in pronation/supination, which helps correct the tendency to externally rotate the ankles. It's wonderful to be able to buy quite nice shoes from a well-known brand at such a price! If your feet are barely anywhere near 8.5 I would advise going to 9. I wish I had ordered two pairs when I ordered these they are so good.
