Review on NRG ST 001RD Leather Steering Inserts by Troy Caldwell

While there are some imperfections (the plastic on the left side doesn't line up flush with the right side), I've kept it on mine anyway. The red color is a little lighter (good) than shown - it appears to be dark red on the inside. The skin is nourished but feels dry - the oils need time to penetrate it. The looks are great, but the best thing about this bike is its STRENGTH that others don't have. It's solid - I reach up and hit the gas and put all my weight on it, it moves less than 1/8 of an inch. My last NRG wheel of the same size sagged 5/8 inch. polish. I gave it a 4 because the plastic center piece is cheap and the mounting position of the left plastic is slightly different. Turning the steering wheel hard will scratch it, but the overall rigidity won't let you down.
