Very easy to use product. First clean the rubber. In some situations this will take some effort, but you want to get the rubber back where it should be. Hardened material can be removed with a damp cloth, degreaser and a light abrasive such as fine steel wool for a terribly strong bond. I immediately land on a good quality microfiber cloth to absorb any oxidization, dirt and the like before applying the product. I think I've seen someone complain that they can't get to some spots with the included applicator. Using an earplug and/or cutting a small piece of foam from a foam section of an AC window unit, for example, is sufficient. and apply it to the foam applicator on the bottle to draw some material in. You'll know the gum is good when it gets a little shinier and looks like it doesn't need more conditioner. If you have an old seal, like in a situation I had, I made two applications as the first one set in fairly quickly. Maybe come back later and go over it again to see if it absorbs more; just wipe it off with a rag if it's too much. Overall it seems to be a good product and it really felt like the two doors I use a lot were a little harder to close because the seals were bulging from the absorption of that air conditioner. The product also has an odor which is not bad at all. I will update and say I continue to enjoy this product. It absorbs very well and maintains the seals well. So far I have used it in several different applications. Did some very dry underhood gaskets and it was an amazing difference, very flexible, smooth etc after many uses. Sometimes there is a difference between day and night afterwards.
