The straps that came with my Small Climbing Hooks were too short. I have fairly large calves and when wearing insulated coveralls I had to pull them too tight to secure them at the top of my calves. This made them too uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. The longer straps made it easy to adjust them for the right tension. Now I can carry my hooks with ease, whether it's in a tree or on the street. They are very well built and look like they will wear like iron.
