I have a Linksys WMP-11 PCI card and a Linksys Wireless 4-Port Cable/DSL Router. I had a 10/100 network card on my computer and it worked without a router for a long time, so I knew the router settings were correct before proceeding with the wireless card installation. When the day came, I turned off the wired network. network, installed the wireless software and put the card in my car. I turned on the backup power, and even though I had 100% signal strength and 100% signal quality, the connection was awful - I was only able to download a few KB of data before losing connection, and I couldn't even connect to my config page routers. . I quickly called tech support and they told me to update the drivers and firmware of both products. I was skeptical but I did it anyway and it worked fine. I've since moved my router to the basement, two stories below my computer, with floors and walls in the way, and you won't even notice. I work with good signal strength and quality and never have any disconnects or upload errors. I am very, very happy with this purchase!
