The screws are actually very good. The nuts have poor threads, jagged edges, are very thin, too narrow and too short to be used to securely connect a motorcycle battery.
I kept losing them when I took the battery out so I picked this pack out of several as no auto parts store seems to stock them. It's good that they fit and that I have a lot of spare parts.
Battery cable cannot be screwed to the terminals without square nuts. Ordered not to walk around the shops. Anyway now you have to. Will only take one more order to return/replace and not worth the time.
The only problem I have is that I don't need 6 pieces. A 2 pack at a cheaper price would have been better. However, they are of good quality and have not caused me any problems.
The nuts are too thin. So put a dab of hot glue on one of these to keep it high enough to grab the bolt. Little trick: Stick a sheet of paper next to the nut, then put some hot glue on the battery and paper so that the nut doesn't fall out. The paper is to prevent the outer glue from sticking to the nut.
I bought these for a Polaris 4 wheeler battery and the square nuts were less than half the thickness of the original resulting in the bolt not reaching them after the bolt was installed the hole. cable end. I was able to put a small washer under the nut which allowed the bolt to thread into the square nut, but what should have taken 5 minutes ended up taking much longer due to the difference in thickness. The bolts themselves were good and had a lock washer as well as a regular washer. If theβ¦
This equipment allows you to connect additional cables to the battery terminals, e.g. B. SAE or NOCO ring cable. The bolts abut the nuts for quick and easy threading. The nuts are 8mm x 11mm and easily fit through the end valves. YOU NEED IT!
