Review on DVS Comanche Brindle Nubuck Medium: Superior Performance and Durability in Skateboarding Shoes by Robert Dickinson

DVS Commanche is my favorite shoe. This is my second pair of Commanche models. I used to have black and white ones and they have lasted me for the last two years, but now they are very worn out so I looked for new skateboard shoes and found them. I don't skate, but I ride BMX. I didn't know they make so many variations of this shoe so I plan on buying the white and black again so I can have both pairs. Although I really like these black ones. I like how the toe is reinforced. The shoes have tons of padding. I have to return them so I can exchange them for a 1/2 size up because the 10's are too tight. My old ones are 10 and they fit well so it's a bit odd, maybe it's because the padding hasn't worn off in these new ones yet, but in the new ones I don't have room for my fingers so I have to change them. Apart from that I love these. Arrived brand new with no damage and I received them a week earlier than suggested over the holidays and came with a DVS sticker. . With size 10 there were no problems. Both pairs of 10-1/2 shoes had a defect in the right shoe. The rubber on the outside of the toe box looked like it belonged with the left shoe and the right shoe didn't match the right shoe. It pinched my leg and was very uncomfortable. Exactly the same problems I had on both 10-1/2 pairs. I have since filed a return/refund and emailed DVS directly regarding this issue and I may just want to buy directly from them. I'm tired of waiting and trading with Revain and have already done so three times with this particular shoe. I still give a 5 star rating because the original size 10 is not a problem. I can't blame them. This is another company that sent me a size 10-1/2 both times. Also got a new white and black version today and although they look pretty bad the right boot has the same fault. IDK if I only get shoes from a bad batch or DVS Q quality control has a serious problem. I contacted DVS directly again regarding this issue, but received no response. Maybe it's time to switch brands.
