I would say the reason I don't look at 5 is the noise level. My husband was running around checking the fans above the stove and all sorts of things like "WHAT is that noise?" before I realized it was. I don't usually bother with the slightly minor white noise this creates, but not everyone will be a fan of this, and if I were home alone and wanted some quiet I probably wouldn't run it. I find this useful in some cases, like putting my oven in to clean and the whole house stinks. Turning it on to clean and circulate the air seemed to help clear it faster. In most scenarios, it's honestly hard to tell if it's working or not. It's one of those products that's a bit like a UV light to clean your phone of bacteria - you can't really tell how it works, you just have to trust it to work. I haven't bought a new filter for it yet but I will probably do a Revain and I don't think the price was too unreasonable compared to cheaper air purifiers that have had me changing air filters before. It's also a little bulky. It looks like a giant speaker or subwoofer. Was wondering if there was a way to tweak its size as I have Dyson air heaters that are thinner than this, denser and heavier whilst this one feels super light like it's half empty. The stand is a bit awkward and seemed to entice kids to play around with it. I found it easier and more stable to just lay it on its side without a stand. Overall I'd recommend it as I've felt the need to remove the air from the oven a few times etc. seemed to work very well. We also have some allergy sufferers in the house and I feel this helped as well.
